Yael stone, a New York City based Australian resident, played Lorna Morello on Orange Is the New Black in 2013. Yael has graduated from NIDA. Yael was fortunate to work with Australia's leading storytellers. She's worked behind the scenes in television, film and theatre. Yael is a hugely accomplished career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was pleased to have found her new home when Brooklyn Academy of Music, in which the play was staged with critical acclaim, became the place she now calls New York City. Yael is the co-founder the company The Cannery. From an Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery is a place to promote new ideas in creative writing, as well as innovative creative initiatives, and encourages the development of young writers.
